PLEASE NOTE: The 2011/2012 lifting season has now finished. We are now unable to supply bare root trees until November, 2012. For container-grown trees and shrubs please contact the nursery office.
Pyrus 'Beech Hill', (an Ornamental Pear), is a fairly narrow, upright growing tree which blossoms white in Spring, and has bright orange Autumn foliage. It requires staking and tieing when young and will benefit from a light annual feed of a general garden fertilizer in the Spring. Apart from this it needs little maintenance. The tree offered is a nursery-grown two-year old bare root tree with a good head. Specimens vary in height from 1.50 to 1.75 metres. (Please see the photo below.)
Tree DescriptionsAll trees offered are good quality specimens to the standard that our Garden Centre and Landscape Contractor clients insist upon. To assist you we show a photographic example of a typical young tree together with an indication of the age and height of the tree you will receive.
PLANTING GUIDANCE We also provide an indication of the growing requirements and habit of each variety. For some excellent guidance on planting a bare root young tree, please click the link below to go to the Royal Horticultural Society webpages.
